Can't upload pictures to site..

It shows it’s uploading then it ends with an ‘undefined’
-
Same here
-
Resize Your Pics before uploading you are uploading large file size image.

New account registered a few days ago. Trying to upload a profile picture that’s 58,3 kB (200x200px) it fails with a “lost connection” toast in the bottom right. Seems like the web sockets connection to the forum backend tanks when you try to upload a profile picture or a profile heading.
Trying to upload the same image in this post fails with a “undefined” error as well

Exactly!

I have reported this, hopefully someone from the website team will look into this

You da man, man! :thumbsup:

@sdetweil Thanks Sam!

Same issue on my website
-
I have requested together with @sdetweil but still silence from the board operator(s).
Links from github seem to work. If you want to show a sample picture of a module try linking to the github source (https://raw.githuusercontent…) of the picture.

yeah, I’ve been unable to post pictures for months now.
-
… any updates on this? I was hoping to get rid of my standard avatar ¯_(ツ)_/¯
-
I just tried to change mine, and it’s telling me my link to the forum is lost when I try to upload a picture.

@BKeyport Thanks!
And theres the solution.Anjin 7. Dez. 2018, 19:37
I had this problem as well, also impacted image uploading in messages.First updated to the newest nodebb release (1.11.0) and Node.js stable @ (11.2).
Tried to downgrade Node.js back to (10.12) with no love.
Returned to Node.js stable (11.2), and fixed by simply building sharp locally.
npm install --build-from-source sharp
Cheers
AnjinNow we just need someone with forum server access! @paviro @roramirez @MichMich
