Description:
I am a visual person by nature and thought it would be nice to see pictures with the news… so here it is… picture on the left with title and description.
At the repository is a list of news reporting that you can choose from. Be aware as this an API and you will need a key for it. It’s free and VERY simple to get follow the instructions :)

@cowboysdude what? no fox news? no options for the other side?
-
@lucallmon How about you complain on their site instead of here? Quote from https://newsapi.org/sources:
Can’t see the one you want? Send us an email request (support@newsapi.org) and we can probably add it.
-
@Jopyth actually I was just trying to give @cowboysdude some crap. lol. Good idea though.
-
NO FOX news… LOL
-
I like your module but I cant seem to get multiple feeds. I have also tried having 2 modules… one for the top bar and one for the bottom bar with 2 different sources. The result is both just showing one of the feeds. Is it possible with your module?
-
@pheub Not setup to do that… LOL I can look at the possibility but it will be a while… :)
-
@cowboysdude well that’s good news and bad news! Glad I didnt miss something and was failing to catch it as well as sad to see it’s not currently a feature. Good to know on both accounts. Thank you for the reply!
-
@pheub :)

Hey @cowboysdude, thanks for another great module!
You should update the readme with the correct link for cloning:
git clone https://github.com/cowboysdude/MMM-PNews.git
This will save precious seconds for us copy-pasters ;)
-
@open_book Thank you!! Good catch!! :) Updated
-
Can this be used with custom RSS feeds, rather than the repository?
-
@DeanoAus If you can find a newsource that works with it sure.
-
Dude, you’re unstoppable! Nice work.
-
Hey quick question, can’t seem to run two copies of this module at the same time. They both get the feed source from the first one?
-
If you can’t, can you run multiple sources on the one module? I tried comma seperated, but that loaded neither of them.
-
No it wasn’t setup to run multiple instances. The mirror was setup for finite space so the majority of the modules haven’t been built to allow that :)
I will look into the possibility of multiple sources but it will be a bit as this is my busiest time of year at work and I am swamped at the moment.
-
Not a problem - what about multiple sources?

Not a problem - what about multiple sources?
If you do this in the config.js ---->
//newsSource:,
It will return news from ALL sources that’s the best I can do at the moment.
I answered the multiple sources question above ;)

There may be a quickie fix I can do if you tell me what you’re looking for…
