@strawberry-3.141 The voice recognition works extremely slow. There’s a way to use Spanish as default language for voice commands?

Maybe using Google voice API?

@daenick please read this https://github.com/fewieden/MMM-voice#information if you want to use faster detection you have to use a different module as this one will never support online services like google, apple, amazon, etc.

there are some custom language models for other languages https://sourceforge.net/projects/cmusphinx/files/Acoustic and Language Models/

@strawberry-3.141 Yes, sir! The ERROR text is gone. Now it’s displaying “Initialising…” and the mic icon has a slash through it and is blinking infinitely. I bet I’m doing a rookie mistake somewhere.

@Advokaten never had this happened before neither did someone report this issue. I would need to see it myself in order to debug it.

@strawberry-3.141 I tried reinstalling it with bash dependencies.sh and it’s back to “ERROR”. Derp.

Looking at error.log in the MMM-voice folder I can find:

Error opening audio device plughw:1,0 for capture: Connection refused
FATAL: "continuous.c", line 245: Failed to open audio device

Somebody gave a suggestion on running:

pocketsphinx_continuous -inmic yes -adcdev plughw:1,0

That too gave me:

Error opening audio device plughw:1,0 for capture: Connection refused
FATAL: "continuous.c", line 245: Failed to open audio device

I haven’t attached anything to my RPi except for an USB microphone.

Hi @strawberry-3-141 Now when I launch the mirror first it says “ready choose a mode” and after a few secnods “error” any idea why?

@Advokaten Hi, nothing to do with this, but as far as I couldn’t update the MM, I’ve removed the update notification from the config file and now it seems to be working the MM-Voice. don’t know why

Hi @strawberry-3-141 finally I could get working the module, I say something and I see under the mic, but thats all. Should I do anything else so I can show or hide modules for example?
