Probably you need to install npm first. Search the forum. There are more posts about this error

    • RE: has anyone used any of the charting tools, like chartjs?

@sdetweil not too fond of jquery too. Had to add labels in a creative way. But looks like you are on your way to a chartjs implementation. No experience with that. I would like to see the result though. Perhaps I can rewrite mmm-rainfc. Also when you get stuck, a svg solution is also an possibility…user spotyourdeal did a rewrite of the sparkline into svg for mmm-rainfc

    • RE: Library error after full reinstallation (full version Raspbian and MagicMirror version 2.5.0)

Did a full reinstall last week. Last version os contains node, but misses npm. After installing npm the mm install script worked. I had to delete the MagicMirror directory which was kept from the first failed install

@mykle1 cool, mykle, didnt know that streetplan existed. Good reading on the silmarillion. Heavy stuf, but I liked the big plan that unfolds if you read more on tolkiens universe.

    • RE: Problem with the Module "email"

Just did a fresh install. Git clone and npm install like you did. Added example config to config.js. Deleted one of the preset accounts and changed the google one into my email. Typed password

I had to change fade from true to false to get the module to show emails

Make sure there are new mails in the mailbox
      Check your password

For every new email a line NEW EMAIL is printed in the console

Also when new mail arives, in the console of the webbrowser the payload can be found. When in magic mirror full screen mode, type ctrl shift i. Wait a few seconds. In the console log on the right you should a log containing " new payload array ()." Click on array opens the received emails

Looks good. What happens when you send a new mail to the emailaddress when the logs shows listening for email?

    • RE: Followed wiki, but the screen does not rotate

Its about using the hdmi output of the pi. And it looks you’re doing that. But you can try hooking up the pi to another monitor, e.g. a tv to rule it out?

    • RE: Problem with the Module "email"

@cyrus1337 what I mean is e.g. your email is namexxx@gmail.com that you use namexxx as an username in the config. I remember playing with that when getting to module to work

    • RE: Problem with the Module "email"

@cyrus1337 its an authentication problem. My best guess is an error in typing your userid or password. You can try it with username, without the @gmail.com part

With the risk of sounding like the helpdesk.“did you reboot between attemps”

And to be sure, you are using the hdmi port?

Did you set google security lower than the default. Something with allow third party apps?

Mykle, kids called me at work today. magic mirror is making weird noises. 😀

Afraid for hardware failure I went home only to find out mmmbmwds had added sounds and it rained for the first time.

Would you consider building in a config switch to enable/disable sounds?

    • RE: My 42" multitouch Philips MagicMirror Display

@viren_nitin just request http://v0.ovapi.nl/line/HTM_12_2 in your browser and search the resulting json with search on a page for TimingPointName for the stop you want to use. E.g I find Tholensestraat. The next field is the tpc

      TimingPointName":"Tholensestraat","TimingPointCode":"32000806"

      Good luck
