Im trying Raspbian Desktop in VirtualBox to do some debugging faster.
Everything works so far except for the keyboar shortcuts.
When MM is in fullscreen no CTRL+q / CTRL+m / CTRL+SHIFT+i is working. Only ALT+space does work.
Tested it with hardware keyboard and VirtualBox’s screen keyboard.

Is there a setting or is it something with virtualbox?

This is all I use in my crontab -e
15 07 * * * pm2 start mm
30 21 * * * pm2 stop all
Shuts MM down at 9:30 pm
Starts MM backup at 7:15 am
EVERYDAY.
I have a Black background color and the bar at the bottom using black background which makes it look like the screen is off basically.
That way it doesn’t flood the room with light at night.
Also less read / writes to the ssd drive I use for my MM.

I betcha if you lit her face better, she could use it for a makeup mirror. That’s where the darkness comes in, from the reflections being reduced to allow for shine through. See what happens with a light ring behind the mirror, and if it works, you can add lighting to the frame so to highlight faces and provide a good makeup mirror. :)

stops MM turns off wifi turns off xyz
from for example 12pm to 6am?

Will this reduce the power consumption effectively?

note that this compiled version won’t work if you use electron now…
