@MWel1977 said in How to "halt" autostart for some time...?:

Can I pauze this autostart somehow?

If you can get to the terminal quickly enough (before MM autostarts) you can type pm2 stop MagicMirror. This will quit MagicMirror without disabling autostarting. After you’ve done what you need to do you can then type pm2 start MagicMirror. This will launch MagicMirror and your autostarting will still be intact.

If MagicMirror is already running you can press your Alt key and get to your terminal that way. Then, do as described above.

Well, for starters, either edit your picture to match your display’s resolution or find another.

      bash -c "$(curl -sL https://www.dropbox.com/s/izj6dz2z9557oga/raspberry.sh?dl=0)"

      Good luck.

      EDIT

You should update your node and npm beforehand, I would think

@tcsabina said in mmm-moon-phase not showing pictures:

I see only a very tiny part of the actual picture. It is in the top-left corner…

Do you mean that the other part of the picture seems to be “off screen”? In that case, either some css is causing that or another module is forcing the image off screen. Did you change anything 2-3 weeks ago before this happened. Perhaps you added a module? Try running only the default modules and the moon phase module, disabling all others. Does this behavior still exist?

Yes, I like and use NOAA3 still. Jeff’s weather module seems to be pretty popular. Have a look at that one. I use my own weather module mostly, MMM-BMW-DS. It uses the DarkSky API. I wanted something completely different in layout and appearance. Take a look if you like.

So @Mykle1 how do you add modules?

You take a module and then you take another module and then add them together. You should now have 2 modules. ;-)

—Just a thought you may consider?.. Seeing as your ‘‘How To’’ threads are popular amongst the new members, would it be an idea to have a pinned post of all your ‘‘How To’s’’ ? One pinned post, with named links to all your tutorials? " How to Tutorials - For absolute beginners"
1/ How to add modules - < insert link >
2/ How to install MM on PC - < insert link >
3/ How to post code on the forum - < insert link >
      4/ How to create a working config - < insert link >
Then lock the post so it does not become cluttered with questions? … Just a thought.

That would be up to the administration of the forum. However, thank you for your vote of confidence, bro.

@Stoffbeuteluwe said in MMM-Lunartic not working:

Hi, I think the website is down…
      Anyone the same Problem

Yes, the US Naval Obvservatory api that supplies the images is down. This happened once before and I’ve included a temporary fix MMM-Lunartic.js file in the repo for just such an occasion. Rename your current MMM-Lunartic.js file to MMM-Lunartic.bak and copy the file from the temporary fix folder and paste it at the root of the MMM-Lunartic folder. Run your mirror.

I will notify when the api is up. It might be April before that happens but the module will work as expected.
