@sdetweil thank you for the help! it is actually displaying something now. now I can work on getting home assistant installed and anything else i can think of. thank you again for the quick responses and help.

I was rereading some of my old posts on this forum and recalled the issue I was having with the Mirror and the camera seeming to not work based on something I was messing up in the process. I think that’s about where it was left off. I’m going to work it back up slowly, comparing the old with the new (I’ve got a few spare Pis and monitors around so it’s easy for me to compare side by side as I go).

@KristjanESPERANTO Thank you for the tip, but the notification does not work for the MMM-Carousel module and with the fork from sdetweil everything works as it should for me.

@cyclonej woohoo!!.. the ‘permissions’ are because the files are in the root owned space you can use sudo nano filename to edit and save changes there but you accomplished the same thing… awesome

@palp the error message tells you which jpg… may have to cycle thru them on screen…

@redfishbluefish the pushing events for cal thru to before the last sorting are ONLY used for the UI, not for the broadcast the broadcast does NOT clip AT ALL with this fix, just like before IF you don’t have the UI visible(position commented out or not supplied in default cal) , all of this is noise (wasted logging)

@sdetweil Thnx, and figures. I guess its a fringe case anyway, having one global language and doing another for this (its a birthday message module Im working on). Ill just settle for using the global settings for now. /C

@ysh I don’t use mirror either … just info panel… I have not tried alpine in a while now… this sounds like an electron problem if you start in server mode npm run server can you access with browser http://localhost:8080 (with default settings)
