MMM-NOAA - Another Weather Module
-
@cowboysdude
Hello. I did the update and it looks good but still no Greek translation. Everything is in English. If it is using my config.js for the language it is in english because if I turn it to Greek I get a black screen when I restart MM. And I am using Dark Sky as provider. -
OK did a quick fix for greek for NOAA3 and it works :) Just tested it…a git pull should fix it… there are two problems…
- I copied the greek translation from the forum and you can’t do that because it messes up the quotes…
- For SOME reason DarkSky doesn’t use GR for greek they us EL…so a temp fix was put into place :)
-
I have noticed that my module has started showing the incorrect weather temps and conditions, today it was showing 6C and Cloudy when I know its been 0C to 2C and Snowing. Having read through a lot of the posts on this thread I have been unable to resolve. Some of the weather conditions are near enough correct though, for example . .
Temp - Shows 6 - Actual 2
Humidity - Shows 55% - Actual 99%
Pressure - Shows 1011 - Actual 1011
Visability - Shows 8km - Actual 8.1km
Rise - Shows 7.05am - Actual 7.05 am
Set - Shows 5.35pm - Actual 5.34pm
Wind - Shows 2km - Actual 6kmUsing DarkSky and Airvisual, both making regular API calls, I have tried generating new keys, updating the module, updating MM version, I have also tried reinstalling both, verified and updated different long/lat coordinates to see if that makes any difference. . If I start MM in dev I see the following . .
Whoops! There was an uncaught exception... TypeError: Cannot read property 'pollution' of undefined at Object.parseAIR (/home/pi/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-NOAA3/providers/ds.js:182:35) at Request._callback (/home/pi/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-NOAA3/providers/ds.js:174:28) at Request.self.callback (/home/pi/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-NOAA3/node_modules/request/request.js:185:22) at emitTwo (events.js:126:13) at Request.emit (events.js:214:7) at Request.<anonymous> (/home/pi/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-NOAA3/node_modules/request/request.js:1161:10) at emitOne (events.js:116:13) at Request.emit (events.js:211:7) at IncomingMessage.<anonymous> (/home/pi/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-NOAA3/node_modules/request/request.js:1083:12) at Object.onceWrapper (events.js:313:30)pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-NOAA3 $ git pull Already up-to-date. pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-NOAA3 $Any ideas on what else to check? When I set this up a while ago it was working perfectly :-(

@cowboysdude
Sorry mate but still everything is in English. No Greek at all. Am I doing something wrong? -
@nobita
I really like the way you are presenting information ! Great Job.

Would you be able to share you css ?Thanks a lot.
-
Guys are you having issues with this module constantly calling Darksky? even on default settings.
-
@cowboysdude
I think something is wrong with the module’s translation because when the language in my config.js isenthe module’s language is in English but when I change the language in my config.js ingrI get black blank screen. But if disable NOAA3 everything loads as they should. I hope this will help you to find the solution. -
Thanks for this beautiful module !!
I have only one problem why under "4 days forecast " there are nothing ???thanks for your help
-
-
Have you modified any of the module files?
-
Are there any errors being reported in the dev console?
-
What provider are you using? Darksky seems to be the most reliable.
-
It might be your location. If you give me your latitude and longitude I will test it for you.
This is with Paris, France latitude and longitude, using Darksky API and AQI key

Thanks for Your help Mykle1 works great with darksky !
-
How can I change it so it looks like in the picture ?

@cowboysdude
hello, I’m sorry but my english very bad … I installed the module MMM-NOAA3 and I thank the creator of this module it is really very effective, for cons I can not change the format of the date in the forecast module, the date is displayed digitally and I would like to have the days of the week as in the images of the github ie Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc. can you help me please, Regards -
Are you asking about MMM-NOAA3? There is no date in NOAA3. This thread is about the NOAA3 module.
-
hello, I speak well of this module, the forecasts are eg: 04-22. 04-23 and I will want: Monday. Tuesday

Oh, yes, I see now. I don’t know how you got the date instead of the day names. Mine only shows day names. That’s strange.
Are you using the newest version of the module? Please run
git pullin the MMM-NOAA3 directory. Then runnpm installas well. Are you using the darksky api? I think there was an issue with some of the other providers. You will have the most success with a darksky api key.

does this module contain configuration options ?
if I dont want all this plenty of information ?is there an exemple of config.js with darkside provider ?
ok, i found the p51 one, and i just understood for airkey. -

if I dont want all this plenty of information ?You can always adjust the custom CSS file to reduce the size of the elements you wish to hide to zero.
-
In my case the 4 day forecast is not shown. There is nothing below the bar. I am using openweather as provider. What could be the issue?
-
@andyyy
however, with weatherunlocked it seems to work! -
