Hello,
Great module, exactly what I was looking for. however, the lettering stutters. Is there a way to fix this? I use a Rasperry pi3. How do I remove the logo from the feed? Many thxmy config.js
{ module: "MMM-NewsFeedTicker", position: "middle_center", //classes: "day_scheduler", config: { feeds: [ { title: "sportBILD", url: "https://sportbild.bild.de/rss/vw-fussball/vw-fussball-45036878,sort=1,view=rss2.sport.xml", encoding: "UTF-8", className: "myClass", //defaultLogo: "" } ] } },and my custom.css
.MMM-NewsFeedTicker { width: 80; height: 30px; background-color: none; } .MMM-NewsFeedTicker .tickerbody { position: absolute; bottom: 10px; transform: translateZ(0); backface-visibility: hidden; animation: marquee 30s linear infinite; } .MMM-NewsFeedTicker .image { margin-left: 0; bottom: 10px; height: 30px; } -

In this section,
.MMM-NewsFeedTicker .image {
margin-left: 0;
bottom: 10px;
height: 30px;
}add
display: none;as far as the stuttering, I was told that animation will do that with Pi

Yep, the Pi struggles with some animations. Scrolling happens to be one of them. If they are important to you then you might consider something more robust than the Pi. There are alternatives from other single board computers, all the way up to mini ITX motherboards. Still others run MM (server) on a full blown desktop machine and use the Pi to remote in to view MM

Many thanks for the answer. Yes, I also thought about buying a stronger computer. What is your opinion on the Asus Tinkerboard? would he fix the problem?

I don’t have an opinion on the Tinkerboard. I’ve never used one, but there are several people on the forum that have. Perhaps then will chime in with their opinions. Good luck.
-
@justjim1220 Have you ever managed to get this resolved? I a not getting the image from my 1 local news feed pulled in and not sure what else I can do to see if I can get it to come through.
The news feed is from: http://feeds.news24.com/articles/news24/SouthAfrica/rss
and the image is supposed to come from: https://scripts.24.co.za/img/sites/news24.png

I have never used a Tinkerboard, so no thoughts regarding the use of one. Apologies!

@mrSnatz
I didn’t test this module on ATB, but ATB is definitely stronger than RPI.
However apart from this module, you have more option nowadays. I think you can consider RK3399 or S922X. I especially recommend Jetson Nano at this moment for powerful GPU. RockPi 4 or NanoPi M4 is also good for overall performance. -
Please update your MMM-NewsFeedTicker and run it to see if it is working the way you are wanting.
git pullThanks!

I run MM on a dedicated Intel NUC and I still occure this stuttering you are talking about. I noticed that the suttering appears when “MMM-ImagesPhotos” loads new pictures in slideshow mode. I was able to reduce this stuttering by reducing the size of the images…
What I try to say “the power” does not help. I think the code is sometimes “sloppy”. Not that I could do anything better in terms of coding but just my 2cent…

Hi guys! I know that this topic is quite old, but I am trying to add this module to my magic mirror unsuccesfully.
I added in the “config.js” file the module but it doesn’t show up.
