@MMRIZE you gave me the hint. I have deleted the config-part of MMM-CalDAV and made the update again and it works fine. So it seems the config was wrong. Now I have to understand your module and how it works. Will play with env and learn about the play with calendar module. Lets see if I get it :baby:

@bdream “http://YOURMM/modules/MMM-CalDAV/public/Test.ics” would be accessible. (See under the public directory of module.) Now you can use this as a ics feed and f default calendar module.

@bdream last week i have updated my MM-RasPi3B+ from Stretch (9) to Buster (10) and then to Bullseye (11) and the only problem was the rotation about 90°. The command display_rotate=1 in boot/config.txt was deleted. I took the switch from DarkSky to OpenWeatherMap as an opportunity to do the os upgrade on all RaspPi’s (3xRPI3B+, 2x RPI4, 1xRPI400) right away because I like to be up to date with the operating systems.

@bdream said in updatenotification seems not to work: I’m back to start now and search a module working with PIR to shut monitor off and on. see how he does it in his screen module and copy those commands to some other pir module… https://forum.magicmirror.builders/topic/15288/face-recognizes-display-on-off/7?_=1635974008253

@bdream well, the main.css is hard coded to 1920/1080… I have an adjusted one that uses view height/width view height/width main.css config.js doesn’t adjust and most modules (including mine) are pixel based

Hi. I played a bit with font awesome getting nicer pics into my calendar. Now I have questions I can’t find answeres to… Is there a need to have different versions installed? (3, 4 and 5 maybe)? Is installation like copy to a new folder under vendor/node_modules and add aine into vendor. js as "font-awesome.css":"node_modules/font-awesome_5/css/all.css", Or do I need to delete old entry? Is there option to restore back to latest official MM-provided font-awesome? Many thanks

I’m thinking about a solution for secure passwords in modules. Expl. default calendar module and 100 others also need password and I have to write it in plain text in config.js Is there a way to get this in a secure way?

@strawberry-3-141 you are right, it’s the default module. Already gave this information in chat above. I didn’t found this information by myself  @strawberry-3-141 said in need help on weatherforecast module: https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror/issues/1772. So many thanks for this hint. Just testing this workaround, but it cleans up the whole header. Okay, okay, I know where I live…

Good Info! Will play next days with MMM-PIR and MMM-PIR-Sensor investigating about needed scripts vs. /usr/bin/vcgencmd command If I can’t get it run mayby I will add an relais to turn off the display… At the moment I have to understand the both approaches and what my display is able to handle. Could be no way is possible as it’s an verry old one. Cheers, bdream
