@sdetweil It most likely would! My one -file-only-edit solution have the added bonus that I know exactly what needed to be changed thus not relying on a 100+ line script. I see that you are so kind to log what the script is doing, so you don’t leave the user in the dark (pun intended :-) ) I like that design! I should have read your script earlier though (I read through the looong ticket regarding making the installer scripts external to MM2 and remember many of your posts!) Actually, while browsing the MM repo I also stumbled across the exact same solution https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror/wiki/Configuring-the-Raspberry-Pi#disabling-the-screensaver Why either of those were never returned to my by google-foo I can only wonder about

The module uses the request package, which is not in the dependencies. Try npm install request in the module directory.

@asifnabi Hi, not with my module “only”, but if you have the information in HA, you can get it to the mirror using my module. I also believe there are modules that do fetch package data to the mirror directly, I just have not used any. :) Take a look here: https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror/wiki/3rd-Party-Modules

Hi all, I just started playing around with MM (awseome) and some other modules. It would occasionally freeze the whole Pi3B+. No network, no keyboard/mouse, I would have to press the power button on the switch that came with the CanaKit. So I flipped back to the sample config.js and still get the error. Here’s what I get. I found google links for VSCode, but I can’t figure out if that applies with MM and if so, what I need to do. Any suggestions?
