@toxeek Just to let you know, I am not part of the core MagicMirror team and my answer is based on my personal interpretation of the situation.

I wish you every success! 🚀 I would find it interesting if you could tell us about your project later.

@kimosaj it all depends on horsepower and memory.
you can run docker for both, as there is an image for mm.

integrating them is a different topic

@sdetweil said in Face Recognition and Profile:

@cldparisi the face reco modules do switching for people, so u don’t need profile switcher too

I installed and configured MMM-Face-Reco-DNN and it works well.
    Thanks for your suggest.

Now I’m trying MMM-MotionControl, it should work together MMM-Face-Reco-DNN …in this moment it not works very well but I don’t stop trying

    @vlogsmath I hate to say this but…

Do you have the frame correctly oriented? I have a 32" IR touch frame and never had to run any kind of calibration on mine. I just installed it with the usb plug in the lower right corner.

  • Can I execute shell script from MQTT?

    Hi All

I have the MQTTBridge module set up, and it works very very well.
I can restart MM, reboot, turn the HDMI on and off and everything.
What I would like was to add a way to run a shell script.
I looked into the Remote Control module, and it has some customcommands, but I think that is just for already defined commands.
So what else can I do?
The ideal would be to just set a MQTT topic, and it starts a shell script I’ve made.

I have a feeling that they just stop working or fire their support because I cannot find any activity on the Dakboard during this period. But yes, this is too funny a situation.

@yuvismahi2 it’s open source, use rpiplay to find the window for mm or add a new mm module to enable an API, and call it to minimize mm and restore it when rpiplay stops mirroring
