MMm-CalendarExt2 has a feature different views with different start date. You can change them with notifications.

@bminer1 - I’m glad your FiL likes your mirror! To answer his question, the answer is generally “Any location with a web API is easy. Most other data sources are possible *.” I’ve been developing systems for more years than I care to admit. I would guess that he has an employee/coworker who maintains a spreadsheet with metrics for his various processes. Spreadsheets are simple and easy to use, so they end up doing a lot of lifting in any business. The spreadsheet probably performs both data storage and calculation roles and they’ve probably been using it for years. I wonder… there’s got to be a simple tool out there that will use a spreadsheet as a data source and expose an API to query the spreadsheet. You could then use the existing modules (MMM-Rest, for example) to query that API. *Sometimes I am too much of a literalist. There are certain sources of data that are too large for the Pi to handle with its limited memory and processor. You will not be able to display a ray tracing rendering process, for example, as there is too much data for the Pi to keep up.

@twodollar Thanks for this option, been looking for a way to get radar shown on the Mirror. Question, on the website you are pulling this from, there is an option to zoom in for a closer look at certain areas of the country. Like the midwest, I can zoom in on Missouri and get what I would rather have instead of the whole country which makes it slightly difficult to see my area (unless I have it set to fullscreen, but even then, I would love to be able to focus it on a smaller area) I tried adding cursor: zoom-in; but it doesn’t work. the magnifying glass shows, but when clicked, it does nothing. Any Ideas? Anyone?

@strawberry-3-141 not sure if it’s related to the latest MM update but since a little while, notification from the syslog, only show the “type” and nothing for the message itself…

Hi, Is there a way to add a function to show, on the main screen of the mirror the Train Status? The idea is use this site (http://viaggiatreno.it/vt_pax_internet/mobile?lang=EN) to show the daily train status that I use every day. Example: At 7AM (monday to friday), show the status of the train number 11666 on the mirror. Thank you in advance!

Hi, I wanted to do this as well. I found the best solution for myself was to use the MMM-Wunderlist module. (You need the Wunderlist app on your mobile device as well. ) https://github.com/paviro/MMM-Wunderlist It’s a ToDo list and you can get messages to show up on the mirror by adding them to a specific List. This way you can have multiple messages showing up. And to get rid of the messages you can just tick that item off the list. You can also share lists with other Wunderlist users so they can also add and tick of items. Note: One thing I did find as well is that it did stop updating after so many hours of running. Never found out what caused this, there are some other threads on here regarding the same issue (the same with ToDoist module) The way I got around that was to set up a schedule to restart the MagicMirror a few times a day. Hope this helps or that you find an alternative solution, would be interested if there was an alternative easier way. Regards
