@egnos Sorry for confusing. Logitech Bluetooth Speaker Adapter might be one of that kind. But as you know, Multi-pairing doesn’t mean MIXING two output at same time. You should hold one source to use another different source. (And I’m not sure it will be returned magically after occupation from one source is finished.) Many speakers insist switching could be automatically, but I’ve never seen those things as they said still yet. multi-channel BT mixer connected to one speaker could do, but It might not be your wants.

@janne The problem here might be that you are specifically using iOS emojis. There are several issues in the web using iOS emojis with Roboto. I think (!) Roboto does not include the unicode conversion for every emoji. As you can see above, Android worked at least for the more common ones. iOS might be a problem. Maybe this emoji font family on github can help but I’m not sure how it could be implemented on a mirror.

@stuartiannaylor yes that’s all you need in the config part. The module entry looks like this for me: }, { //disabled: true, module: "compliments", position: "lower_third", config: { classes: 'small', remoteFile: 'xxxxxxx.json', updateInterval: 12*60*60*1000, } }, As that is a top tip and ‘small’ ? Dont know what you mean with that. I think you don’t need to give it a class but with this class you can determine the size of the text. remoteFile is a file, not a folder. But it can be anywhere, however if it’s not in the module directory you ned to give the absolute path “/home/pi/…”

Is there a way I can make a background slide show that would allow me to play short video clips along with my still photos?

@j-e-f-f if I am willing to wait 5 minutes for the next update, why would I NOT be willing to wait 5-10 SECONDS for a refresh after sleeping all night? I don’t sleep the mirror for power or heat savings…(cpu runs at the same speed al the time) I sleep the mirror for darkness…

So I have been working on my smart mirror and I got a IR-Frame for it. But for now the interaction is very limited and I wanted to change that and tried to add webbrowser into the mix, but the biggest problem was that I couldn’t write anything. I searched for virtual keyboard module, but couldn’t find any. Is there even a module like that? Also when I didn’t find one, I tried to do one myself, but I’m new to programming and especially javascript, so I did some googling and found SimpleKeyboard, which seems to be what I need but I don’t know how to integrate it into a module.

@fallandegubbe this is a great project to learn how to code, and JavaScript is quite a forgiving language, so it’s perfect for beginners. What you’ll need to do is pretty straightforward and common for MM modules. First search for an online JavaScript 101… plenty of free resources available. Then download and examine the code for an existing module as a template to get an idea what the structure looks like. Finally do a bit of Googling to learn how to do specific things like make an AJAX for API data, and how to programmatically create HTML markup. Try to keep it simple from the get go. You can accomplish what you want to do without anything fancy like a Node helper File or even an external CSS file. Once you have a working module (which will quite a satisfying accomplishment — congrats for sticking with it!) you can make improvements in order to learn some of the more advanced stuff. You can do this! Speaking as someone who does not code for a living, nor would I consider myself a “programmer,” I can confidently say that you can learn everything you need with a couple days effort and liberal Googling, a dash of determination to stick with it. Also, this forum is a great place to ask questions when you get stuck. Lots of us got started in the exact same way. Once you’ve finished your module, you can get the fancy “Module Developer” badge beside your name too!

@piyushtanksale00 - I do know that the MMM-Fitbit module includes a heart rate statistic. The module is a little unreliable due to Fibit’s weird API. But once you get it running you can get all sorts of fun fitness information from it. Depending upon your coding skills, just about anything with a REST API can be displayed on the mirror.

MagicMirror and GassistPi are two very cool project that can run on the same Rpi3.Gassistpi is the cooler google assistant project out there,no one has so many features available.I am gonna post it to the GassistPi chat too if someone with the right knowledge can make a MagicMirror module for visual presentation of Gassistpi .I thing this will be the cooler features of all. There are several MM modules for voice control but in my opinion Gassist running outside of MM is way better.

@ryck said in Worldclock & Currency: @yawns You can always use https://exchangeratesapi.io/ if you don’t want to make people get an apiKey… Thanks for the heads up. I updated the module to use the new source instead.
