      @jersam said in 27" Mirror with selfmade frame:

      which router bits did you use on the 2x4s?

      Sorry i dont get your point ^^

        @onkelbobby Hi, thank you :-)

        I just mounted the sensor on a piece of wood behind the glass (to reduce the range a little bit without a tresistor) instead of directly behind the glass.

        If you need i can make a picture but i think the illustration should do the job ;-)

          @kruemel which bits did you use to cut the wood.

          Looks like you started with a 2x4, cut into a L shape with a ledge, put a smaller strip of wood to hold the mirror and display in.

          its nicely done so i was curious.

          I just picked up a table saw so i can do a datto cut in wood.

            @kruemel
            thanks… no need to take pictures…
            I’m just wondering why my sensor is no working trough the glass wood combination (Mirropane Chrome Spy 4mm + plywood 5mm)

            Anyway, I found another way to mount it almost invisible.

                @teegray1124 Yes but i think you mean the “rainfall” amount, when you ask like this ^^
                I noticed that it states “nullmm” instead of a number, since a couple weeks.

                  @jersam Aaaah, now i get your point :D

                  I started with 2

                  Douglas Wood 4,5 cm x 200 cm x 7 cm
                  https://www.obi.ch/terrassendielen/unterkonstruktion-douglasie-4-5-cm-x-200-cm-x-7-cm/p/3434313

                  Cut in the half and to my needed length.
                  Get rid of the wood i dont need with a wood milling, like this:
                  alt text

                  …with two different positions to get a “stairway” :-)

                    Hello @kruemel , is that possible to have the outline dimensions, i’m thinking about building almost the same ? Actually, i don’t know what should be the size of overflow for the mirror, to keep it strong.

                    Really nice setup :)

                      @max86 Hi Max, sure :-)
                      Outline is 153cm x 40.3cm for the frame
                      and visable mirror is 34.3cm

                      So the overflow in my case should be about ~1.5 to 1.7cm
