@jmwyds 2.7 is a long time back… module getting old with no maintenance

I should have searched around. This was recently solved with a fork by BKeyport to Remote-Control here.

@ninjabreadman That is indeed not very simple. It was something I wanted to implement too, but it turned out to be a little more complicated than I initially thought, since the MagicMirror project does not directly support this. But it could be done, and if so a PR or even just an initial implementation would be awesome.

yes, I have found a solution. The developer helped me out.
It is very simple. Just keep the “” away from the page number. (Somehow it is %22 in my post above.)
Just open a browser and enter

http://ip:8080/remote?action=NOTIFICATION& notification=PAGE_CHANGED&payload=1

Please remove the space between NOTIFICATION& and notification. The text is written wrong if I put it together.

0 is page one. 1 page two and so on.

As an alternative you can try

http://ip:8080/remote?action=NOTIFICATION& notification=PAGE_DECREMENT

or PAGE_INCREMENT

I use these commands to control the mirror using my smart home gesture control.
Thats why I had no need to modify the remote control module.

In my case the keys (KEY_PAGEUP & DOWN & BACKSPACE) don‘t work.
I changed the evdev path. I added them to „handleKeys“. I added them to „keyMap“.

I can see them in „evtest“ working- KeyCode 104 & 109 & 14

But in „viewnotifications“ they are not displayed

The other keys are working with keybindings & carousel.
But i need two more keys xD

@rvdgeer do you have pm2 installed and configured? Oh looked above, you do. Well I have noticed even though logs show command error, it still works, I think it’s because node doesn’t surround commands in quotes.
