MMM-NOAA - Another Weather Module
-
@tbbear I live in a windy area. Today Force 5/6.
As you can see with this screenshot the O doesn’t appear. Even if the config.js is well setup to display this information (as you can see on the post above)
-
@rezocharly ok, so its another problem.
First the lines “ALERT” and the “Warning Level:” are parts of ur language translation file. So add them their and it will show in the correct language. Here my de.json file from translation dir."***ALERT***":"*** Wetterwarnungen ***", "Warning Level: ":"Warnstufe: ",
Second ur wind problem. This module depends on wunderground which is a network of personal wheaterstations. NOT every person who has a PWS has also a wind sensor. Maybe u try to select another
StationID which has one. (i had the same problem too)Third with alerts: false i have this in my config.js just before the line position: … and it works.

Just add this to your custom css
.MMM-NOAA .set {
float: left;

Thanks a lot for this information I got it but unfortunately nobody have a wind sensor around me :)
I confirm, just before the line position, alerts are not displayed anymore.
-
@rezocharly just disable that in the config like this:
showWind: false
As for the alerts I’m gonna let @tbbear chime in on this one…he rewrote the alerts :)
-
This module works perfect … almost …
Is it possible to change CET in alerts to MET ( I use the Dutch translation)?
Peter -
@Peter The translation for the alerts depends on google translate, so at the moment we cant change this
-
@tbbear thanks!

Nice Module, really love it.
Unfortunately i have a problem with another module (mmm-traffic) while NOAA is active. The font there should be colored but now it´s background is completely colored. While NOAA is disabled, everything is fine.
Any clue?thx,
Mac -
@mac0178 Let me take a look perhaps a css tag is similar :) Ahhhhhh yes perhaps this is it…
In the NOAA css file there is this:
.red{ background:#f00; } .green{ background:#0f0; } .blue{ background:#00f; }
and in the MMM-Traffic module there is this:
.green { color: #83FFB3; } .yellow { color: yellow; } .red { color: #FF4C4C; }
So I’m going to update the css file and you can try it again :)
Just go to the MagicMirror/modules/MMM-NOAA dir and type
git pull
that should update the css file :)
