RE: UPDATE: Replaced my PIR-Sensor with a Doppler Microwave Sensor.
@cowboysdude Great News, excellent!👍🏻

RE: Apple Music
@dominic21 While there are a few modules for Spotify I haven’t seen any for Apple Music.
I have a Sonos sound system and run the MMM-Sonos module on the mirror. This allows me to see which track is played in which rooms (also several rooms simultaneously). That means I can connect my Sonos system to any streaming service (Spotify, Apple, Music, Deezer,…) and the mirror displays the current running track received by the Sonos speakers and I’m independent from the streaming service. This is not exactly a direct answer to your question, but a workaround with Sonos speakers. -
RE: Is it legal to sell a smart mirror with MM software (since it's open source)?
But if you make money of your mirrors you should consider at least donating some money to the project :
I second this :thumbs_up_light_skin_tone:

RE: Frameless Bathroom Mirror - Part 1: Software and Preparations
That‘s a really cool sneak preview. I like the maps integration with iFrame and will give it a try on my mirror. Looking forward to seeing the finished build.

RE: UPDATE: Replaced my PIR-Sensor with a Doppler Microwave Sensor.
@uros76 the detection range will very likely be more than 180 degree, as the emission characteristic is more or less spherical. Further, the detection range depends also on the layout of your rooms, walls etc. Just give it a try and see what the result is.

RE: Do you recommend buying the Echo Dot to integrate with the mirror?
@alyyyaaannnaaa I‘m using MMM-AlexaControl instead and it works great. The module you mentioned is not in active development.

RE: My First 'Office Themed' Mirror
@ljcwalston Congratulations to your first build! It looks awesome!

RE: Adjust border size
Im main.css you can change the margin, heightand width under ‚body’ as you need. Here are my values I adjusted. The default values are commented.
body { /* margin: 60px; */ margin: 5px; position: absolute; /*height: calc(100% - 120px); width: calc(100% - 120px);*/ height: calc(100% - 10px); width: calc(100% - 10px); -
RE: {HowTo} turn on/off your monitor (Time based, PIR/Button, App)
@FREIGHTTRAIN Can you elaborate more precisely, what is not working? What have you done? What is the expected behaviour? How does it behave? How to reproduce? That might help in helping you.

RE: Many thanks are therefore to the forum and the developers. I wish you Happy New Year from the bottom of my heart.
@Lordy I’d like to return the wishes to you and the whole community, too!🍀🍀🍀

RE: My New Magic Mirror Project.
@TheMysticle Thanks for the entertaining video on how you built your mirror! It looks great! I’m also happy to see here other 3D priniting enthusiasts :-).
One upgrade I’d suggest is a proximity sensensor, that turns on the screen when you stand in front of it. Either a via Doppler sensor (see my signature) or a PIR sensor. Another upgrade might be a gesture sensor. As you’re into 3D printing and modelling, you’ll easily find a solution to place the sensor.
BTW, could you please post which microphone you built in? I’m just curious because I’ve tried a few and none was sensitive enough to pick up my voice. -

@cowboysdude found your module yesterday and installed it. The kids and me love it!

RE: What's the best way to block out area of mirror that doesn't have a monitor behind it?
@fribse hmmm…I’m not sure if painting is a good option, because it will be difficult to apply the paint accurately and evenly. I took some black foam matte that in which my mirror was wrapped in. That can be cut very accurately. May I ask why black paper or cardboard is not a viable option?

RE: My mirror finally finished and installed
@supersook Fantastic build! Congratulations! You should really switch to glass, as the distortion comes out nasty on that beatyfully crafted frame.
I ordered my mirror from here in Germany. That shop had the best price incl. shipment at that time. From their website I see that they also ship to NL. -
RE: Node/ npm error? Blank magicmirror. Please help - desperate, frustrated and grateful for the right direction
@nakulbende oh, great you sorted it out! My recommendation on Reddit to join this forum was not that bad😁. Another happy builder on bord!

RE: MMM-Xmas
@BD0G you‘re mixing something up…MMM-Xmas is not displaying snow flakes, but blinking lights. What you mean is MMM-Snow.
