Okay I have a new Problem. Because git pull didn’t work, i Download the git Repo as an zip file and extract into my module folder. I change the name to the correct module name and rename the old remote Modul folder. Then I restart mm2 and I only see a white page and my pi crashes. But I remember i have seen this Problem in this forum in a post too. But now I’ll decide to go sleep i will check this tomorrow.

So good night good morning or whatever is right now :-)

    • Update a module whit git pull didn't work...

      Hi, everybody

after a long time I am working again on my Magic Mirror. :-)

      But today I have a little problem…

i like to update one module. I think no problem. I can use “git pull”. I change into the modul folder and write git pull. But now they will update magic mirror and not the module. OK i checked if i really in the module folder. Ok i am right. Then i searched in this forum and Iam found only thread about updating all module at the same time or that i should use git pull. But that I have used.

Have somebody a idea what i do wrong?

    • RE: A VERY simple Web radio player controled by voice

      Hi,

In best case you haven´t got any problem whit multiple starts of radio channels. Because, they will only start the radio stream you like and was detected by hotword. And because there only run one stream or sound at the moment the kill order there no problem. I think you will not like to hear more than one stream at the same time. I mean it can be happen but then, i think, you will stop all streams because it will be terrible for your ears.

Maybe I did understand your question false… :-)

And I have to say thanks to @alexyak for the great voicecontrol module!

      Here my module:

    • RE: Web-Radio

      Hi at all .-)

At @MagicMirrorPi some weeks ago i posted some questins about a web radio player. But there was now usable method. So I am not a coder, but I create my own simple module. At my mirror its possible to play two diffrent radio stations (you can add more) and the best you can control it by your voice. At the moment you can say your own word for radio station one and your own word to play radio station two. And you can say your own word to stop radio. At the moment I haven´t got any time but maybe later today I will post and describe my way. BUT you should have in your mind I am not a code Its a simple code (create by try and error by be) to do what I want :-)

Oh i Forgott, I use the module by @alexyak called Voicecontrol and the hotword detection.

Fotr local Music I use the simple Musicplayer module by @EoF and a bit of code by @tyho to controll by voice, too

    • RE: VoiceControl module

Hi, sorry at the moment I haven’t got any free time. So I have read your post first now. Because you post your solution, I think it work. You don’t have to thank me, I am happy I can help. Like other helps me if I have a problem.

Maybe we should write the following, too.

You shouldn’t use some words that are to simple, like Play or Stop. At my experience this words will be to simple and your mirror will not regonize the correct order and will do every order at the same time. Because the system can not decide which order you have speak out.

Anhand dem Namen deiner Pmdl File schließe ich du bist auch deutsch. Ich schreibe dich später an, und erklär dir mein vorgehen. Das ist für mich, auf deutsch doch einfacher als auf englisch. :-)

    • RE: save some information from a xml or json to a txt file

      @LukeCodewalker

Hi, thank you for the code. But there was a little misstake I think. I have copied your code and save. put in my api and the right folder.

then the first try. All works fine the code generate a test.txt file. But then I oen the txt file it was empty.
Ok I think maybe I put in something wrong. But everything was ok.

At a second try I chnage the folder name, because I think maybe the was some folder Rights or something else. But the same. The txt file was empty.

At my next try I cut of the f.write line and there was only written f.write(‘Today is’)
And I see everything work like it should. In the txt file was written Today is. Now I put some more in this line again. Everything works fine till I put the word weather. If I put this the txt file will be empty.

I like to try something mor later today. But I want give you a feedback. And I like to say thank you.
