I know this might be out of topic, but how do you connect your VCN to your MM? In Pi the VCN is outdated, but seems I cannot updated. At least I do not know what to do.

Any good samaritan that would like to help me?

I found a Notion module that integrates into Magic Mirror - but I can’t find many actual photos of it. I am curious whether or not it would be able to pull my dashboard directly from Notion and display it on the magicmirror. I was thinking I could create a more pared down dashboard specifically for my magicmirror, but there are so many household things that Notion tracks it would be simpler to integrate directly with the planner I already use. Any suggestions? thanks!

@justonemore the web server in mm is in code, not config files. it uses the JavaScript express lib

you could create a module that adds extra paths/routes for the files you wish to share

but you can run apache and mm on the same machine. just use different ports. typically apache is on port 80
while mm is on port 8080

I am using both and the temperatures are quite close, difference is most of time below 0.3 °C. I don’t know which value is the more relevant one.
And in some cases (sun directly over the Netatmo sensor) the difference is greater but the weather API seems the reliable one in this case.

the package-lock.json message is noise. sadly we can’t suppress those

UUID message. this is a sign that the module hasn’t been updated in a while. there is no telling what the impacts of the update might be. there are breaking changes everywhere.

I strongly recommend ignoring the messages.

I don’t see any issue in the pm2 setup during install. I ask it for the command IT thinks it needs to execute, and then I execute that command. same as u did manually

there is no good way to test for module eol, as only 1 developer uses that term
lots of modules have been abandoned, but still work.

I recently bought an ACER HA240Y monitor (https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/8d8f1615)
for my Magic Mirror. I wanted to install the monitor in my frame in portrait mode. However, The display settings of the Pi OS are unable to identify the monitor and i am unable to find the drivers for the monitor in the Raspberry Pi OS. I am not able to proceed further to flip the display from landscape to portrait. Is there any way in which this can be resolved.

Hi everyone, I’m trying to recreate my PiClock display within MagicMirror and so far it’s been great except for weather. I can’t really find a module that will print out the conditions of the day. Like below: 16fdfbf0-ff85-478b-bc77-24a5bf7b9678-image.png

Is there any modules out there that can do this? For example the “Rain in the afternoon and evening” text is what I’m looking to recreate.

This is also wonderful for Snow, it will tell me how many inches to expect.

Just checked the other post.
The Sketch i gave to you does not use any AsyncTCP libraries so there needs to be some different problem in your case.

If you still use ArduinoIDE to flash the boards you will have received some updates of the ESP core packages in the last time. Maybe there was fixed a problem and cause of the reflash the changes got active now.

do the same last 3 steps as above

AND THEN

npm install request --save
