Hi folks,
I am using Netdata to monitor all my Raspberry PIs at home.
I would like to use my Magic Mirror to show certain performance figures or alarms/warnings Netdata provides.

Maybe someone also likes the idea and spends some time writing a module?

Someone there wo can make a volumio plugin? showing current song information?

@reneSwiss do note chrome and chromium is not exatly the same however.

Most normal browsers have a built in viewer for pdf, but if you are trying to display it on MM2 that is made on electron that uses chromium I’m fairly certain it doesn’t display pdf documents. Byt I could be wrong, can’t test it since I’m not at home.

Edit, looks like electron 1.6.4 and above have support for pdf viewing. https://github.com/electron/electron/releases/tag/v1.6.4

In the beginning I filled up the Trainer.jason with my own vocabularys and translations and it worked fine.After that I adapted the config. file, which was easier for me as I thougt. Since then the modul gets the phrases with the translation from the website, and one by one is displayed on your mirror. Absolut amazing!
So guys out there I recommand this modul highly, try it, adapt it to your needs and you’ll love it.

Second request. I’d like my mirror to display every day an English word, with its translation into my chosen foreign language.

I’ve hacked away at pretty much every module in order to tailor my display to my liking. While there’s a lot you can do with CSS, you’re limited when everything is laid out with tables, so I’ve found I’ve needed to change the markup in most modules. It would be nice if the modules abstracted the HTML out into a separate template file so that whenever I update a module, I don’t need to do a whole lot of reverse engineering to recreate my changes. Even better would be if you could specify an alternative template file in the module’s config. Then any subsequent update would not overwrite your customizations.

I understand this would be a significant upgrade to the current code base, but maybe something to think about for a v3 of MagicMirror.

Hello, I’ve got a BME280 environment sensor running using the following node.js code:

I’ve been able to modify it to output to a webserver in JSON format.

Would anyone be able to help with building a module to display output from this sensor on Magic Mirror? I’m reasonably proficient with Python but have next to no experience with node.js

Thanks for your suggestion. I realized that the openhome renderer creates a logfile. Now I’m reading that logfile and select the appropriate data to send to the MagicMirror.
