But then still, after starting you would instantly see the message, right?

@MichMich Yes. Since the mirror is integrated into our wardrobe, with our shoes beneath it, I get ready for my morning run in front of it. So there I would notice the update notification (that was my original thought at least). But this is really not a big issue, the fixed message probably works fine as well.

@lolobyte Hi, you can find it into the develop branch.

Please check out a clean clone

          git clone -b develop https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror.git

Or using your MagicMirror code project

          cd ~/MagicMirror
          git fetch
          git checkout develop

@lolobyte Prevent this with a copy backup your MagicMirror directory.

                Another question…

Is it possible to run a second instance of MM2?

Yes, use a different port for each instance in configuration file.

If I’m not totally mistaken, this module does not only check for updates of MagicMirror itself but also all other used modules. Maybe one should make this clearer in the description/Readme. I was a bit surprised to suddenly see several git-remote-http-processes (for all my modules) in top.
