      Thanks a loro @BKeyport and @evroom!
In a few days I will try your advice.

@BKeyport said in [MMM-RTSPStream] - Video Streaming from Live Feeds & Security Cameras:

RTSPStream’s clunky enough that you might find it easier (and better) to run OMXplayer independently of the mirror, like evroom has done, as have I.

does this mean i have to uninstall the module RTSPStream’s and install only the component OMXplayer?

      Thanks

      Hello to all.
Many thanks to the developer for the brilliant idea!

      I describe my environment:
I’m testing the various modules on a virtual machine (Virtual Box) that runs on a Windows 10 PC.
For now all modules work perfectly except MMM-GoogleMapsTraffic.

      Description of the problem:
I successfully installed the module but when I launch MM I only see the classic purple Google Maps pointer and nothing else…

The configuration of the .JSON seems ok, and the API has been entered correctly.

      Can you help me…?

      Thank you all!

    • Virtual Magic Mirror...is it possible?

Many times I can not find the time to sit in front of my Raspberry and work on my MagicMirror … and I think this is the situation of a lot of you!
Is it possible to virtualize/emulate our MagicMirror? In this way it would be easy to develop as soon as we have a few minutes of free time!

I saw that months ago, another user (@Nikhil) had posted my same question but no one had answered …

Re: how to run magic mirror on raspberry pi desktop at virtual box

      Can someone help us?

      Thanks.

is it possible… certainly the command and execute side… I do not know about the data availability for the display side…

I would be interested in something like that…

re-reading your original post… you said display the openhab dashboard… does it look like that display you played out? if so, you could paint that in an iframe, without much work… See MMM-IFrame or MMM-IFrame-Ping modules.

      I hope I understand your question…
I seem to have understood that the “OpenHAB dashboard” can be reached through a simple link and shows the status of the various sensors / wireless switches installed at home (correct me if I’m wrong …).
So it seemed useless to have to “build” a page in MM for viewing these sensors!
In practice I do not need to install the MMM-Openhab module but to choose between MMM-IFrame or MMM-IFrame-Ping modules … right?
What is the difference between MMM-IFrame and MMM-IFrame-Ping modules?

      Thanks

      What is “…I4m…”?

@ejay-ibm said in New Project! I think!:

I do prefer Google serve for speech recognition because it’s more universal and running on the cloud , so your speech is very well recognized .

Is it possible to send commands from “Google Assistant” to “OpenHAB Server”?
GA -> OpenHAB Server -> OpenHAB Dashboard

@ejay-ibm said in New Project! I think!:

It’s very rare when the assistant don’t get what i’m saying , even with a porr mic and some background noise.

      Which microphone do you use?
Because I also use the MMM-AssistantMK2 module, but I have problems with the recognition of the commands and I do not understand if it is the sensitivity of the microphone or the quality!

You can do them with your phone on your hands.

In order to have an all-in-one system, it is certainly useful to be able to share MP3, in order to use the same speakers that uses the MagicMirror.
See the missed calls on the MM, the charge level of the phone and the sms received would be nice but not very useful …you are right!

      @j-e-f-f said in MMM-Bluetooth:

…use the bluetooth beaconing system instead…

Sorry @j-e-f-f, what do you mean by “…bluetooth beaconing…”?
Is it possible to hear MP3s from the smartphone on the speakers connected to the MM via bluetooth?

      Thanks to all.

    • MMM-Bluetooth

      Ho guys!
Nobody has ever thought of creating a module that allows us to connect via bluetooth our smartphones with the MagicMirror?

    • RE: MMM-voice

      Hi everyone!
MMM-voice does not understand what I say!
      For example:

      • If I say “OPEN HELP” it understands “OPEN OF OF” or “OPEN THE”
      • If I say “MAGIC MIRROR” he understands “MAGIC TO”

I think nobody has had these problems … correct?

I’m starting to think that the problem is the quality of the microphone.
      I bought this microphone Microphone-Raspberry-Recognition.

      I have recording a test and I hear a background noise…
Can someone recommend a good microphone?

      Thank you all.

Sorry @Sean I’m new in the MagicMirror environment and I do not know all the components.
Where can I find information on what is needed and how to customize the “custom.css” file?
      What do you mean:

Redefine CSS selector #ASSISTANT_YOUTUBE in css/custom.css.

MagicMirror use the “custom.css” or “main.css”?

@lavolp3 said in New Project! I think!:

Well there is an MMM-OpenHab module already.
You might find a way to use it or expand it.

Regarding speech commands: It might be possible to use one of the local speech recognition modules here (Lucy?) to send commands to the Openhab module or even to your local Openhab server. You wouldn’t have to use google then…
Just a thought and not very much thought through…

      Hola @lavolp3!
      Thanks for the reply.

Why google assistant is not good for launching commands? Is it difficult to implement the commands?

What is “Lucy”? If I’m not wrong, it’s an “extension” of the MMM-Voice module…right?

If I understand correctly, I can send the commands only to the OpenHAB server and not to the module. The MMM-OpenHAB module can only show me the status … right? On the MMM-OpenHAB module page there is written:
“The module displays all values from your Openhab sitemap. You can also change all values and switches (like lites, temperature and s.o.)”
