@DadZilla said in The RaspiMirror was born!: You got RTSPStream to work!!! NICE! I need to try harder then as this is something i’ve wanted on my MM for a long time. I just read there were issues and it wasn’t supported any longer so i didn’t really try. In fact you say well, RTSPStream does not work and when it starts it works badly. For this reason, externally to the MM, I launch an OMXPLAYER command with coordinates that places the video down to the right. I have not found any other solution … IMPORTANT: on Buster OMXPLAYER is still present, in Bullseye it has been removed in favor of VLC which unfortunately I had difficulty configuring …

@Egnos said in Bluetooth timeout in Raspberry: Hello people! I connected the Raspberry bluetooth to a bluetooth speaker (Nest Audio speaker …). It works well but unfortunately it disconnects after a certain time of inactivity. It’s annoying because I always have to restore the bluetooth connection. Do you know a way to disable this timeout? Thank you all. Hello, iam trying to connect Rpi-3B to alexa dot , not happening. How to do it. Thanks

@MMRIZE said in RPI 4 hibernation: Impossible. None of the Raspberry Pis has had a “sleeping” or “hibernating” mode. And Pi itself has no feature to wake up by time or WOL. So you may need additional h/w like a smart outlet or HAT (e.g. wittyPi) for controlling power externally, … but in any case when it is switched on again I should restart everything (MM, etc …). @MMRIZE said in RPI 4 hibernation: and their price is higher than the saving amount from Pi. that’s for sure…but if you think so you wouldn’t do many things…

@sdetweil Thanks, Sam. I may take a look at that Ecobee API and/or the charting. The Ecobee is currently not in use in my new house, but this may give me the added incentive to get going on that. Thanks again.

@MMRIZE said in Change page with MMM-Pages: By my test, under 5mm thick plastic or wood panel it works. But there is no s/w fixture about it. I did several tests and even a piece of paper in front of it doesn’t work … it must be completely free … I should try the glass …

see https://forum.magicmirror.builders/topic/9564/controlling-magic-mirror-from-alexa/4?_=1611953562988 I can currently ask Alexa to show me the camera and it shows me my camera and hides some calendar modules to make room.

@Egnos Well, I find the price is reasonable. At the time we built our house (4 years ago) sensors and actors for HomeKit accessories were not available, except for switching some outlets or similar. We wanted to retrofit a wireless home automation system, which works reliable and is flexible. Thus, the decision fell on Homematic. There are a few good platforms (open source) to combine various systems with each other, e.g. ioBroker (which I use) or openHub. And yes, MMM-Homematic is the module I have on the mirror.

You should separate those two programs. Sharing a module only identifies a program. I tried it on my music device and it worked.
