Thanks ninja. Your suggestions pointed me in the right direction, but even then I was at a loss on how to proceed. @cowboysdude deserves all the credit, though. He took the time to explain things to me.

Is this your dev environment? Or do you really have an i7 780, GTX 660 and 16Gb running MM? At least it can run MMM-Globe!

This is my dev machine. It dual boots Windows and ubuntu. I found it on craigslist, although it came with 8GB of RAM. Luckily for me, it wouldn’t boot when I went to buy it so I stole it for $80 and had it up and running in minutes after getting it home.

MMM-Globe! Yes, very nice module. Stunning graphics. But I prefer MMM-EARTH with an animation speed of 0 and a rotate interval of 1000. Also challenging for a Pi but the laptop boards I use handle it nicely and I get the most recent images of Earth. I’ve seen hurricanes develop and an eclipse. Pretty spectacular stuff. :-)

22" diagonal monitor
The mirror I bought was 24"x12". I only had to cut the length of the mirror by about 4 inches. The 12" width was perfect.

Did some preliminary css work on the module. This is pretty much how I envisioned it. I’m satisfied. Thanks again to everyone that advised me.

Just add header: "Header goes here", to the config entry for the module. It doesn’t have to be coded in the module.js file.

Here is how to delete one, but the choice is yours.

pm2 stop mm
pm2 delete mm
pm2 save
rm ~/mm.sh

Then check your instances again

Oh hell yeah. It has been great fun for me. I never expected to be so captivated by this. I’m still at it.

Not been tinkering with it for a while tbh… been busy setting up grandsons Pi with triple boot, and loading up a helluva lot of Roms for him, kodi, and music… so mirror has still to be refined, MMM-Remote added, plus Sensor when i find out on here best one to go for in my other post…
So hope to get time next weekend as busy at work atm… plus clicking on your post 100 times a day to get you up to 5K views… lol

Excellent! Just like our grandfathers did for us, right? ;-) I used to play with my grandfather’s adding machine. Not a calculator, an adding machine. I’d press in the numbers on a typewriter-like keyboard and pull the handle to register the entry.
