The remote control module works wonderfully. The only issue is one of the modules does not dim with the others. Not sure why. MMM-RAIN_MAP stays bight regardless of the level of dim within the remote control app. Any thoughts? N

@nneuland yeh, mine is listed in the ‘alternative’ section below manual note that I have a script to disable screensaver down at the bottom too

@sdetweil I’m not certain when exactly this is happening. I’m finding that one of the trains in the module disappears and comes back on it’s own. Always seems to be long enough to notice it for a few days though. It should always be visible, as long as there isn’t a cut in the service. Which there currently is not. MM is always on. Although I’ve tried restarts to correct the issue I have not seen any update on the github module page, and I am currently up to date. I’m more looking to see if anyone using the NYC_Transit module has had any of the same issues. Nick

If you just care about turning the TV on and off you could use a relay that triggers the power button of the TV. @cruunnerr made a guide for PIR and relay setup.

@nneuland u need to find out if your monitor will accept cec commands to turn off it’s power, instead of turning off the hdmi port. search google for cec-client none of mine support cec commands. if you use an ssh connection to the pi from your other machine you can turn the hdmi port back on without rebooting

@nneuland you should have put in custom.css… not modify module file… cause later if the module is updated, the git pull to update will fail cause the modified file would be overwritten by the file the module owns in custom.css just add .modulename in front of the identifier .MMM-Discog .classname ?????? { ... .. .. }
