Not all feeds are created equal…there are rss and xml feeds…try a newsreader that will do both…ie the stock newsfeed module does that just fine… I’ve also written one that does both…so look for a module that will work

What module is that one at the top right? The “things to do”?
Can you show how you built that case/frame for your frameless mirror? I would love to do a similar build, cause I am almost done with my own smart mirror, I finished everything - EXCEPT THE FRAME…been putting off what frame to get.
Are you talking about a normal mirror or a smart mirror? Lol
If it is a smart mirror, and it was the region where your screen or RPi is located, that will be because of the heat they generate. It’s like how heated windows and side view mirrors on a car work.
A trick to prevent any bathroom mirror from fogging up as you shower is to generously smear shaving cream (not gel) on it and spread it around nicely, and then wipe it off with a cloth after 5 mins. Prevents it from fogging up during hot showers.
I use a iframe and let show my own “server” things from there. the name from the program witch run on my server is “iobroker” there u can connect every company devices together. it is really a awsome program.
@dmwilsonkc Hello and my congratulations for your hard work and for the excellent result. I know this topic is too old but I didn’t want to open a new one since I am not familiar with coding and I don’t know if I could get any help. I installed mycroft via git clone in my Rpi3b and I think it is working. I say “I think” because I have a problem with audio. I’ve read thousands of troubleshooting but nothing seems to be relevant to my problem. When I speak to mycroft through cli commands it’s all good. Even when I asked mycroft to “play the news” I hear something like podcast saying the news. But I cannot neither speak to mycroft through the mic nor to hear it’s answers. If i install it through apt get will be a better soloution? sorry for my ignorance but I really want to succeed that communication through mycroft and magic mirror. Thank you in advance.
Sandy2503- Doh! Forgot to hit publish…that should be fixed now.
One option for the pyramid may be to cut triangles out of thin wood, but then you’d be forming your own bezel…may become a much more difficult project. I’ve used makerspaces before I got my own 3d printer to easily print a lot of things, though since that was a 9 hour print for my printer that may be costly. I will have to investigate if shapeways can do it for a reasonable amount. I really wanted to make the project accessible to anyone, but a 3D model was really the easiest way for me to make the case! Thanks for the kind words, glad you all are liking my entry into this wild world of magic mirrors
Just wanted to share how I use Alexa to control the mirror. I use Home Assistant together with Node Red. With the MMM remote module I can restart, hide or do whatever I want. I send the coammand via HTTP get from Node Red.
