@mirror-master There are other modules they do something similar than MMM-Carousel. I use MMM-Pages this can be controlled by Hyperlinks via MMM-Remote-Control. Example: http://IPofMM:Port/remote?action=NOTIFICATION&notification=PAGE_INCREMENT AxLED

@smowk first thing to do is draw it out on paper, what u want it to look like, and a table of what colors should be used when. Once u have that design, Then, build a simple web page that displays a sample of your data how u designed it. Using whatever styles u want. Styles allow u to change everything about the display, without changing the content itself Mm is a single web page.

Total noob here, bought a bunch of stuff online and waiting for it to come in. I read the BME280 is better than DHTxx, so I got that, but there doesn’t seem to be a module for it? Can I adapt the DHT module to read the data? I would also like to read a separate sensor - I want to display room temperature (BME280 connected to RPi) and garage temperature (planning to use a NodeMCU + BME280 in the garage)…

@buzzman I added this rather quickly to my weather module. When it’s raining (when the darksky data says it’s raining) you will hear rain for about a minute, then again every 5 minutes (updateInterval) when the data indicates rain. The same goes for “thunder” and “wind”. You would have to find a wind sound file and name it wind.mp3 and place it in the sounds folder of the module itself. Also, you can find and use your own sound files as long as you name them rain.mp3, thunder.mp3 and wind.mp3 and put them in the sounds folder of the module. https://github.com/mykle1/MMM-BMW-DS

Hello everybody, I used the PIR Module from @paviro to turn on my screen only when a movement is noticed. Because I wanted to get rid of the sensor bulb, I want to switch to a radar sensor. I still use the PIR-Modul, which works very well. I ordered and tested different sensors. Two of them are my favorites: 1.) HFS-DC06: the best on this sensor is, that you can adjust them very easily. But I noticed a very long delay until it recognizes a movement. Maybe it is my fault, when you are confident to this sensor and can say something to it, feel free 2.) the second favorite is a HW-MS03. Unfortunately you can’t adjust them (only when you can solder SMDs…) But this sensor is very very fast. and here is my request, because I can’t use Javascript: When the HW-MS03 recognizes a movement the screen turns on. As soon as the HW-MS03 doesn’t recognizes a movement anymore the screen immediately turns off. Because of this sensitivity, the screen goes on off on off very quick which is not good for the screen. Can someone edit the module for me: When the HW-MS03 recognizes a movement, the screen should tun on and should stay on for a certain time (e.g. 20 seconds, maybe this can be variable?), no matter what the sensor recognizes, when the sensor still recognizes a movement after this time, the time starts again, and so on until the sensor doesn’t recognizes a movement. It would be nice if someone updated or rewrote the Fitbit module, as the current one is 3 years old, apparently no longer supported (several unresolved issues from three years ago in the troubleshooting forum), and Fitbit has completely redesigned their developer portal so the instructions are of little help. There are quite a few Fitbit users out there, and its a logical application for the MagicMirror.
