ok it is crazy.
on my test/development mirror with windows 10 don’t work. No result with focus_on: {'GERMANY': 'FC Bayern München'},

but on my main mirror on the raspberry it works perfect.

so no further investigation.

I’m not suggesting that you use it, but Windows 7 and MagicMirror work flawlessly together. Just a thought.

@strawberry-3-141 this is a great and very good looking addon.
I’m using Bundesliga standings but apparently they are not updating for the new season. I still have season 16/17 standings. Do you know why?

@lavolp3 I should have thought a bit longer.
The reason is that the number for the league is deprecated. If you use the actual number, it works.

I’m looking for a way to change the Team Name. For example “Red Bull Leipzig” is wrong, it must be Rasenballsport Leipzig. Is there a way to change the Team Name?

@Southcity the data is coming from an api endpoint, where you registered for the api key, so you could write them a mail if they can fix it :)

i am having trouble with the soccer module.
I can get the current english premier league and i can show a reduced number of teams. But i cannot get the the focus to work. I have tried multiple teams but none work.

my code is

Dont judge me on the team - its my father’s and this is a christmas present.

what am i doing wrong?

Also is there a way to update the league to the 18/19 season when the ext season starts or do i have to edit the config then?

sorry, i should have added that if when i run the code above the module clearly loads because it shows the headings but the table is blank. If i comment out the focus_on command the module works fine and shows the top 5 teams (as expected)

This is a complete guess so forgive me if it does not correct your problem. I don’t use this module.

I’ve noticed from the other examples above that the FC comes before the team name. It’s worth a shot.

@Mykle1 hi, thanks for the suggestion, however in england the FC goes after the team name, in germany (which are most of the examples) the FC comes first. I am also assuming that the name i need to use is exactly as it is presented in the league table. Note, I have tried the focus_on command with every team name with no success.

Again, I don’t use this module. However, it does matter to the API how you enter the team name, even if in England (or anywhere else) the proper way is Newcastle United FC. Have you tried focus on another team from another country? If it works then the problem lies with the API or the formatting of the name in the config.

Note: Newcastle is my favorite beer. :-)

@Mykle1 hi, thanks for the suggestion. I’ve just tried a few teams in the format focus_on: {"ENGLAND": "FC team name"}, and it makes no difference.

logically I would expect to use the team name exactly as displayed - which is “Newcastle United FC”. Otherwise how would anyone know what team name to use?

@Brandlin you are right, you should use Newcastle United FC as thats the value it gets compared to from the API. Can you try and set max_teams: 5

Wondering if someone can help.
Having the same issue that a few people have add around the focus_on tool.

Here’s my code:

Is there something I am doing wrong?
I have tried a few of the suggestions made before around the position of the FC e.g. ‘FC Arsenal’ and changing the max_teams line to (max_teams: 5), and none of the above have worked.

@layman_smiles the api returns Arsenal FC so that should be the correct value and max_teams should be definetely without quotes. I will try and debug after work.

Really nice module! I have a request, if I may: It would be really good if there were an option to automatically cycle between a few leagues, instead of having to do it through voice control (which I don’t have!). Would you mind adding this?
