I realize this is an old thread - but the rpi3 does have an OpenGL driver that you can install via raspi-config under “Advanced” It does have a GPU - “Broadcom Video Core” -Earle

You should post your own question in Troubleshooting and someone will answer you. They might not see your question in here. You could try it with your rPi cam and see if it works
