Good job! I bought a custom glass mirror from a local shop in Rennes (France). It’s very good looking but also very expensive (95€ for about the same size as yours).

@Mykle1 Yes, that’s weird. As far as I can recall I didn’t do anything different when I uploaded the first load of pictures for the main post. I took them on my iphone (which has not changed all year) and uploaded them via dropbox to my home laptop, and copied them into the post from there, however comparing the dimensions of them on my hard disk, maybe dropbox resized the original ones for me… I don’t remember changing any settings… @saurabh76 You’re welcome! Thanks for your interest!

Interesting on the ACD cmd line option. Let me know if you come up with something as that would be awesome. Had been thinking of Flickr due to the options it has, but haven’t seen a good way to easily create a module which can access hundreds or thousands of Flickr photos randomly.

@Zach Hey Zach, I’m excited to get your project up and running, but could you update it with the latest install process for Raspbian as the options available on the page you link to have changed dramatically: https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/ Jessie appears no longer available.

What Alexa module did you use? I’m still failing with setting up voice recognition for my own mirror

@Johans yah, when she said I dont want a rectangle mirror I was like oh crap… Ended up being quite a bit more work than intended. I think just making the jig to cut an oval took longer than making the frame itself… :P

Step 1, choosing components. After a bit of research I have decided on using Raspberry pi 3 to power my clock, and a 10" touchscreen from Adafruit, the wifi capabilities are a must have for this project.

Finally I found the time to bring my 6 year old Cybertecture Mirror back to life. Sneak Peek from ubergizmo I installed a 60GB SSD and installed Linux Mint. MagicMirror2 runs great on it. The original software was at that time still in beta-stage and therefore not fully developed. At that time I tried to write my own software because there was nothing comparable at that time. But I gave it up pretty quickly. Here you can see the last update many years ago… First Software test Next I try to program a module which can communicate with the original body scales. I want to make the cables disappear in the wall and connect it to Homeassistant. Now the mirror is hanging in the hallway and the second one’s probably in the bathroom or he will be sold. I look forward to lively discussions with you! [image: 1506374939495-_20170925_232846.jpg]

Nevermind my rambling earlier. :) Looks good tho! 400 SEK for the mirror sounds like a bargain, hope I get something similar when I visit my glass shop. Do you know how thick the glass will be?
