I’m sure there is an easy answer to this and I tried to google this but was getting confused. I’m using VirtualBox to create the Raspberry Pi for my MM to “practice” before using my actually Raspberry Pi 3.
The module works like a charm. Was able to add weather and some other modules. The problem I’m having is the size of the screen is smaller so the text is overlapping. I wasn’t sure if this was something when I use VirtualBox or can I change the font sizes. I looked this up on Google and they talked about a Custom.CSS file but I wasn’t following what I had to do.
I had been using MMM-My-Scoreboard fine up until I installed MMM-awesome-alexa.
Now when I include the MMM-awesome-alexa module any where, it changes the formatting of MMM-My-Scoreboard so it is a single horizontal line See here It should be vertical on the left hand side. And indeed when i remove the alexa module from the config file it returns to normal. Also the alexa dot that pops up is in the center of the screen, right over the line that the sports are on, Not at the top ( i dont really care where it is, was just moving it away from the scoreboard. the alexa module is confirmed working.
All depends on the enclosure behind the mirror, I have a fairly closed box ( large air volume inside so heat isn’t an issue). And the inside don’t get condensation on it, and generally the part with the screen behind it usually gets warm enough so it doesn’t get foggy.
I wouls strongly advice against anything not glass when it comes to a bathroom mirror due to scratching. The bathroom mirror usually needs more cleaning than say a hallway mirror and the more you clean the more scratching will occur. So the harder the surface the better. And the coated side inwards the screen so you don’t accidentally damage it.
I tried installing MM on tinker board and installed face recognition module but it fails at the point when facial recognition(using opencv) starts, suddenly shuts down the system(i.e tinker board)
Cause of this issue is yet not identified.
Any help on this will be appreciated
