Hi, I have had my MM mounted on the wall since 2018. I use an RPi 2B+ on which Raspian Stretch is installed. Because I had significant problems after an update, I stopped at version 2.5.0 and have not updated since then. That’s ok for me. Now, in January, I installed the MMM-Remote-Control module and noticed that my mirror always freezes after a certain time. The instructions on github say something generic about the optional Realtek 8192 WiFi dongle as well as something about “For RPi 3 (Raspbian Stretch)”, but for RPi 3. Could someone please help me and tell me which command is valid for me now? Either only the part for the dongle or the part for the RPi 3? Unfortunately, nothing is working at the moment due to misconfiguration and I have to take the mirror off the wall again, so I’d rather ask in advance.

@fischi87 does this mean that the develop branch solves your problem?

@kristjanesperanto Since the update last week the module is running fine. No more duplicate lines. I think this is the right way. Run now with stationID: “975242” and and comment //ignoreRelatedStations: true again. Btw. I have no space to display the module twice on the display.

@jerryp Woha!!! I just unchecked the Public calendar in iCloud and rechecked it again - this changed the link to webcal://p102-caldav.icloud.com/published/2/xxx and now it works again! Changing to solved!

Sorry it took so long to reply back. I’ve been kinda busy I finally had time to upgrade MMM-GmailFeed everything went fine and is running perfectly :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes: Thank you everyone for your help :thumbs_up:

Thank you @karsten13 and thank you for the docker image, appreciated. It seems to be an issue with MMM-CalendarEx2… It was/is an issue with having multiple MMM-CalendarEx2 modules registered. I have one page with a week view and another page with a month view (using MMM-Page-Selector). But since I’m a total MM noob, I just added the CalEx2 module twice and it is apparently not happy about that. I’ll see if there is a way to have different scenes on different pages or switch to another calendar module for the month view. Thanks again :)

@sdetweil It most likely would! My one -file-only-edit solution have the added bonus that I know exactly what needed to be changed thus not relying on a 100+ line script. I see that you are so kind to log what the script is doing, so you don’t leave the user in the dark (pun intended :-) ) I like that design! I should have read your script earlier though (I read through the looong ticket regarding making the installer scripts external to MM2 and remember many of your posts!) Actually, while browsing the MM repo I also stumbled across the exact same solution https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror/wiki/Configuring-the-Raspberry-Pi#disabling-the-screensaver Why either of those were never returned to my by google-foo I can only wonder about

The module uses the request package, which is not in the dependencies. Try npm install request in the module directory.
