So, in playing with the module in the absence of the author, I’ve found the following: VLC won’t work. Author has syntax error on command line, so it’s trying to load local file “dummy” rather than stream. I can fix this by removing the word “dummy” in node_helper.js, along with it’s quotes and comma. There’s a problem with the way that VLC is called by node (the system behind magic mirror) that is blocking the video stream from flowing. If I remove the “-I” from the arguments, I can get a VLC box that runs, and when I check the stream stats, the audio is flowing freely, but the video is stuck. if I understood how it’s carving out the space for VLC, I’d try to launch it and the support pieces another way. I’m going to submit this to the author in github. hopefully he comes back sometime soon and fixes.

Hi togehther i´m a newbie and i installed this module: https://github.com/LukeSkywalker92/MMM-SoccerLiveScore After I installed the module, the table and the results were filled out over the entire screen. Now I wanted to ask how I can adjust the width and height accordingly and where I do it. Do I do this in the corresponding module css? About an tipp and a sample css thanks.

@Fozi @Fozi said in rpi3 freezes every few days .. need help: @nagaculun Are you sure that the crontab is really executed? ssh into the RPI, execute ‘htop’ and check the uptime. The uptime should be the difference between the cronjob execution and the actual time. For setting up the crontab, that reboots the RPi I needed priviledged rights. $ sudo crontab -e and then insert, e.g. 15 1,9,17 * * * sudo shutdown -r now >/dev/null 2>&1 This reboots the RPi at 01:15, 9:15 and 17:15 every day (every 8 hrs.). Note the two ‘sudo’ for editing the crontab and initiating the shutdown. Yes, as I literally wait and see when it happens.

@juantata Putting sound through hdmi didn’t work for me neither. Only USB and headphone jack worked for me for speakers. The mic has to be a usb one though.

@valid8r you only need to update the module… the mm update does NOT update any non-default modules… go to the module folder cd~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-Holidaylights git pull if it has a package.json file then in the module folder do npm install
