Hi @rchase, Yes, I’m doing it with a little help from other stuff… :) Using Alexa (Echo Dot) that communicate with a HA-Bridge that then activate profiles (and other stuff) using the module MMM-Remote-Control. Works well. :)

I plan to use an ODROID-C2 instead of Raspberry Pi 3 for hopefully faster Alexa commands, youtube playing etc. I am a bit worried about compatibility, specifically because I am going to use PIR sensor and a DHT22 temp/humidity sensor. Has anyone else used the ODROID-C2 for your mirror? Anyone heard of any problems with them? Thanks

@dmrowe84 Well, This is going to be so embarrassing. :face_palm: I tried pressing random keys. You know, escape, q, ctrl+x etc. Being the dumb person I am, I didn’t try Alt+F4. Then, I randomly pressed it and it worked. Also when I held Alt for a while it showed different tabs. File and all. Clicked on File and it had Ctrl+q for quit. And there it was. Ctrl+q.

@johnnyboy I have sawn out some thin 14x2mm strips of the same material as the box that will be glued around the edges, so the MDF won’t be visible (it’s the wood you can see in the reflection of the mirror). Have to make everything on the display 40% larger to get readable text. Every man should have a bike inside, it’s classy :D (my kitchen table is the work bench, the last 2 years I have had my gpz900R engine in pieces laying on top of it :D )

@arpippone I was tempted, at first, to go for the cheaper option of using acrylic… then seen various posts about distortion (fun house mirror effect) and how easily it is to scratch, and not having the same reflection of a real mirror, so did not want to go through all the hard work of setting up everything else, only to be let down by the cheaper option of acrylic… although there will be some that swear by it. - As my dear old Gran always said… Buy cheap, Buy twice!

I never played around with it. Maybe you could add a new user, change the password for user pi and remove write access for standard users for custom.css and config.js ?
