MMM-DriveImages

Features:

• Displays images from Google Drive
• No API keys required
• No OAuth app setup
• Automatic background syncing (no cron)
• Simple setup for non-technical users
• Supports linear or random playback

Setup is done with a single command:
~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-DriveImages/connect

After that, just upload photos to a Google Drive folder named:
mirror-images

The mirror updates automatically.

Upload videos to a folder called mirror-videos and they will automatically sync and play on your mirror.

I need to back down to the previous release. I believe the 4/1 release of MM is a step too far in compatibility breaks.

Is there a guide on how to do this?

Heads up for anyone using the Swedish SMHI weather provider in MagicMirror²!

As of March 31, 2026, SMHI has deprecated their PMP3gv2 forecast API. It now returns HTTP 404.

I noticed this, this week when my MM suddenly were empty of weather reports.

The replacement is SNOW1gv1, hosted on the same domain but with a different data structure.

What changed in the API

• URL path: pmp3g/version/2 → snow1g/version/1
• Time key: validTime → time
• Data structure: The nested parameters[] array is replaced by a flat data object (e.g. entry.data.air_temperature instead of entry.parameters.find(p => p.name === 't').values[0])
• Parameter names: Short codes replaced by human-readable names (t → air_temperature, ws → wind_speed, Wsymb2 → symbol_code, etc.)
• Coordinates: Response now returns flat [lon, lat] instead of nested [[lon, lat]]
• approvedtime.json endpoint: Removed entirely — use referenceTime from the data response instead

Weather symbol codes (1–27) remain unchanged, so icon mapping still works as before.

Updated provider

I’ve updated the smhi.js provider to work with SNOW1gv1. Key changes:

• New API URL
• Rewritten data parser for the flat data object structure
• All parameter names mapped to their new equivalents
• Coordinate parsing updated for the new format
• Added missing value handling (SMHI uses 9999 as sentinel)
• Added support for precipitation type 11 (drizzle, new in SNOW1gv1)
• Backward compatible — existing config.js settings (including precipitationValue) work without changes

Tested and confirmed working with type: "daily" on a Raspberry Pi. The SNOW1gv1 API responds correctly and the weather module displays data as expected.

Hallo Guys,

my Mirror Dashboard is using 13 pages. Since the last update all the modules are shown at page 1 after a restart. When I select the Page 1 for example everything is shown correct. It’s only after a restart or a refresh of the Page. Maybe somebody have an idea?

I just updated my MM to the new version and right after doing that my calendar would not load any events. Prior to the update it was working fine. Is there anything in the config I need to tweak? Everything else seems to be working fine.

I had been using MM for over a year before the MM2 came out and had issues with updates, so turned it off for good.

I’ve decided to give it another go, but wondering the simplest install, that will give auto updates?

My MagicMirror installed on an rpi with Raspbian Bullseye was failing to start up with the following errors:

As per https://github.com/MagicMirrorOrg/MagicMirror/pull/4011, I was able to modify my startup scripts to use start:x11 instead of start and it came back online. I’m concerned that the no-longer-default startup method will not continue to work into the future, so what steps do I need to take to ensure my installation continues to work in the future without special start targets? I assume this means a full RPi OS update, which I’m dreading as that typically means having to reconfigure everything I’ve setup for display rotation and touch support and etc.

There is another MMM-Art module out there, but it is only for one Museum and I couldn’t think of a name that would fit this module better. I wanted more images and since I am running on a little Pi, I also added some local caching and resizing so the images would pop in and not come in like it was 1999…

Took me a few months but finally have my MM version of our old DAKboard up and running how I want it:

after MMM-RAIN-MAP literaly stopped working because of the API changes of Rainviewer.com I was looking for something that works.
Unfortunatelly I’m not a developer, so I got a lot of help from an AI (vibe coding). So if there is a real developer want to check it, make it better, take ownership of the project: Let me know, I just want something that works for me ;)

Also, this is only working for Germany as I use the data from the German Weather Service (Deutscher Wetterdienst - DWD).

The module works for me, but I consider it beta as I did not see it long enough. I took some of the feature ideas from MMM-RAIN-MAP, so thanks guys for developing this first!

-> Rain/snow Radar that is either always visible or only when it will start rain in X minutes
-> works 2 hours into the past to 2 hours into the future
-> not much more =)

It uses data from DWD, Bright Sky API, CARTO map tiles (by Open Street Map) and the OpenLayers map engine.

Any feedback is valued, especially if you find something stupid due to the AI usage.

For now I’m happy as it is currently working as intended for me and maybe it also works for the one or other here in the forum as well.

The “old” weatherBackground did not always work for me, and given the new possibilities with AI I created a new module that can generate new background images on the fly using AI.
You can add additional parameters to modify it. Parameters are based on time, month and general parameters…

I’ve just published MMM-SolarGenerationCalendar, a MagicMirror² module that displays a live solar generation dashboard by bridging directly with Home Assistant. No API keys or internet dependency required. Since I have a Soliscloud integration this module is tailored for that. However, you need to have integrated your Solar Plant with the relevant HA integration( Which requires, API Key & Secret). It features a live power gauge, six stat cards (Power, Today, Month, Peak, Year, Lifetime), a today’s generation curve, and a 30-day bar chart with a daily average line, all pulled from HA’s REST and WebSocket APIs. If you are using any other Solar Integration, you can still use this module. Check out the FAQ’s. for how to do that.

Hello @kristjanesperanto, I saw you are AtomVisualizer module’s developer.
Kindly, I need to ask where do I have to go to select the language.
I saw something about “getTranslation” inside MMM-AtomVisualizer.js but I didn’t understand where do I have to act to have an EN translation.
Thanks in advance, I’m sure I am the problem but I’m not very skilled on these configurations.
In the config option parameter I don’t see anything about language.

I have confiigured my mmm-calendarExt3 module and it ids working nicely and looks fine except for one small issue but I cannot seem to resolve it or change it.

When there are more than 3 events in a day (4+) it will only display 3 of the events then shows the number of extra events in a white circle on bottom right of that day.

I have tried config change to maxEventLines but it did not work so i’m stumped!

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on a module to display a live Google Nest camera feed on MagicMirror² using WebRTC, and wanted to share it with the community.

What it does:

• Streams live video from a Google Nest camera directly on your mirror via WebRTC
• Automatically refreshes OAuth tokens — no manual intervention needed after initial setup
• Keeps the stream alive beyond Nest’s 5-minute session limit via periodic extension
• Includes an audio frequency visualizer — a bar equalizer that reacts to the camera’s audio track (without playing any sound through the mirror)
• Auto-reconnects on connection failure with configurable delay
• Integrates with USER_PRESENCE (e.g. MMM-PIR-Sensor) to suspend/resume the stream when you leave/return
• Supports hiddenOnStartup to defer the WebRTC connection until the module is shown

Requirements:

• A Google Cloud project with the Smart Device Management API enabled
• A Device Access Console project (~$5 one-time fee to Google)
• OAuth 2.0 credentials (Client ID + Secret)

The README has step-by-step instructions for getting all credentials and completing the initial OAuth setup with the included exchange-nest-code.js CLI tool.

This is a fork originally based on work by @shbatm — I rewrote the streaming and token logic, added the audio visualizer, and hardened the reconnection/session extension flow. Feedback and issues welcome!
