@aidandon I commented on the other post; not sure if you have solved already. Did you install using my github repo? If so, the problem is that my pm2_MagicMirror.json file is looking for a file called startMagicMirror.sh and not mmstart.sh, so it won’t know to run your mmstart.sh file.

Thanks god I solved it!!!
While exiting from /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf I pressed inadvertently option+x instead control+x and I added “†” in the file without realising it.

As for the two different files I went ahead and removed the .woff file from the program.

I use to use my rpi3 which had retropie install on it also as a plex server and had torrent software on it, I used it like that for around 8 months and everything was fine but the only problem I had is I use to take the pi to friends houses alot at weekends then the kids use to moan that they couldn’t watch anything on plex whilst I was out lol.
But it seems retropie uses less resources when idle than magic mirror does.
For example if I enter “top” on my magic mirror electron is running twice and cpu usage is around 25-30%.
Retropie on the other hand idles around 1-3% only even going up a couple of percent whilst streaming to my smart tv.
I think I’ll just have to pull out one of my spare memory cards and see what happens I think.
For sure I’ll post back my results here just for everyone else’s information:)

What type of mirror are you using? It’s not a 50/50 as mines is that and it is not as reflective as your one, so is it a 75/20 Pilkington Mirrorview?

It currently uses these modules…clock, Google calendar, openhab floor plan showing lights and temps, bus timetable for 2 local routes, weather, compliments, network speed monitor, Google traffic map and cctv feed (bottom right, camera was offline!) All this is backlit with rgb leds controlled from openhab2!

I’m trying to insert it in my config with the spanish translation but I’m getting the german one. This is my config:

The URL seems to be correct, since if I visit it I can see the image displayed in my computer. Do you know what the problem might be?

Description:

This sort of falls under an ‘infotainment’ category. Basically you can pick a city/place anywhere in the world via it’s WOEID and then display the Twitter Trending Topics for that place. The topics are automatically sorted by number of tweets, and can have their rank and tweet volume shown as well. The backend is also configured to support multiple instances of this module each displaying a different city/place.
